Readiness
Two Dynamics products, two different answers for an agent.
Business Central and Finance and Operations share a brand and very little else. If you are connecting one of them to an AI buying agent, which one you run decides the timeline, the work, and what the agent can promise a buyer.
One connects from two screens in about half an hour. The other has the better stock data and cannot be connected from a form at all.
Is Dynamics 365 ready for agentic commerce and supply chain automation?
Business Central: ready for commerce, partial on supply. Connecting takes two screens and about half an hour, with no partner, no Azure work and no code, and the API version is frozen so the integration stays built. Per-location stock and item-vendor lead time are the gaps, and they need an extension rather than a setting.
Finance and Operations: ready for both, after a discovery pass. Real-time availability across sites is genuinely best in class. Onboarding starts by reading the tenant's metadata, because inventory dimensions are configured per customer and no two are shaped alike.
Business Central connects without a partner
Nothing else we looked at comes close on setup. You approve the connection yourself in a couple of screens, with no implementation partner in the path. For a mid-market ERP that is close to storefront-grade.
The standard API surface is frozen rather than evolving, which works in your favor: an integration written against it keeps working instead of needing a revisit every release.
Finance and Operations: strongest stock, per-tenant shape
Availability is real time and spans sites, with cross-channel reservation primitives that are genuinely well suited to agents committing stock they have not paid for yet.
The cost is that the data model is partly yours. Inventory dimensions are configurable, extensions add columns to standard entities, and multi-company is the norm rather than the exception. So connecting starts by reading your metadata, and anything that assumes a standard shape will be wrong about your account.
What Business Central needs an extension for
Three things are missing from the standard surface: stock per location, item-vendor lead time, and price lists. They are the three an agent most wants, which sounds worse than it is, because all three close with a single extension shipped through the marketplace rather than three separate pieces of work.
None of the three is specific to your account. They are the same gap in every Business Central install, closed once for everyone, which is why a lower score here is less bad news than the same score on a system where every install is shaped differently.

- Do I have to change my ERP?
- No. Connector reads the stack you already run. You do not migrate.
- Which systems does Conduit Connector support?
- WooCommerce and Odoo are in development. Shopify, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Oracle Fusion, SAP S/4HANA, and custom API or MCP are coming soon. Per-stack notes live in Hub.
